ROOTED IN FAITH. SHARED WITH LOVE.
Every girl deserves
guidance that helps her grow.
Train Up a Child places lessons from years of nursing, education, and mentoring into the hands of children and the adults who love them. These stories teach social and life skills while affirming each girl’s dignity and God-given purpose.
“Teach without shaming.
Guide without diminishing.”
Created by retired registered nurse and author Carol Nash, founder of Bernadette’s House in Laurel, Maryland. Her mentoring experience inspires stories about self-care, respect, confidence, relationships, and thoughtful choices.
The Bernadette’s House connection
Founded in 2012, Bernadette’s House is a real nonprofit organization that offers girls a safe, supportive place to learn and grow. Taking Care of Me! carries that spirit into a story about personal care, compassion, and asking a trusted adult for help. The book series extends this teaching philosophy to families, caregivers, mentors, educators, and ministry leaders.
